OpenClaw has always been a scammy open source project to me. I don't get the hype and I think people need to stop using it.

I never have problems with butterfly keyboard. It felt good. Not sure why you guys have such big hate against it.

16GB is going to leap you into the air category. They intentionally make this an entry premium laptop. The retina itself and MacOSX’s mandate of font conformity make this premium over other budget laptop in that price range.

Good luck, projects like these either end up getting sued or going to acquisition. Open source != morally on the end result

The moment you read “crypto mining in the browser while you browse” should be an immediate red flag that you should run away. Absolutely no need to respect him even when he was the creator of JS. So what.

You need to read again. Parent is asking opt-in, not opt-out. Firefox should have been doing opt-in

Then he will spin off and then remerge again. He has several more small companies before he plays that game. Maybe next quarter!

What is the importance of such problem in real life?

> If you could know all of the addresses of important kernel routines

Are those kernel logical addresses?

This applies to a lot of people too because there is a cluster of people who agree/think alike, and there is a cluster who aren't relatively to the other group. The way he said it is actually very insulting and condescending, pretty much ready to attack me and accuse me for something I did not do. I am glad you are being honest with me how you felt in the first place. That would have been a better way to express one's doubt. Although I am not famous, just a nobody HNer, I hope people would at least do a little research on my profile first before accusing me playing a persona game.

Please do not accuse me without any proof. I only have one account. You have no idea what you are talking about. Do not insult people like that. You can look up my public profile. I am done talking with you.

I still use FB a lot, but I did disable a lot of notifications, especially those "X page is on live."

I thought they did that, but my experience has been quick, so I cannot imagine anyone got asked. I suspect it was either an automated process, or some human looked at my photos and decide whether I am that person. I believe it would be both, so facial recognition can be trained and perfected. I'd lean to say if this was all automated, they probably did a "Google image" search and came to the conclusion it could not have been the user.

If you have a large repo, it actually helps you to save storage if you don't need the full history on clone by using shallow clone.

hg is still behind this, AFAI can tell from search. FB has this as an extension. https://bitbucket.org/facebook/hg-experimental/

Is FB fully using hg internally, or both Git and hg, because obviously FB has public repo on Github.

I was in CA for a summer. My girlfriend at the time lives in SF. She was using AT&T until she had enough of the DSL performance, so I helped her switch to Comcast. Comcast would even charge us for WiFi, but we were able to keep the Wifi off the modem. Luckily we had a nice rep from Portland to work with us. The price has only gone up since signing up with Comcast, and service hasn't been good.

I live in NYC so TWC (now Spectrum) is a choice in my area. The service has been pretty good since their first major service line upgrade (probably around 2013, 2014). I get to speak with a customer representative and get a discount promo price every 12 months (very known trick for ISP, just call and tell them you wanted to cancel your ISP account, they will likely offer you a promo price). TWC even have a mobile app which I can use to check service status and even chat with the representative directly from the mobile chat! The app itself is slow kind of a crappy version, but hey, it's amazing.

When I moved to my new home, I bought motorola sb6141 modem instead of the stock version. I can tell you that the speed is consistent and noise level is low compared to my old modem. I understand environment (where I live) may matter, but I am happy with my own equipment.

TWC let me keep the factory modem in case I needed a replacement which is a nice touch. I have more faith in TWC than in Comcast. Just another customer rant.

> Coordination can be done via throw away sim cards and personal meetings so you don't really need to communicate that much.

You forget the fact that the communication channel is always being monitored, but in this sad case, nothing was caught. Someone has already smuggled the weapons in before hand, just like how the bomb was able to made it to the plane early this month. Someone must have been tipped and bought the weapons from possibly local gangs and bam...

I am hoping that process will change, at least more agile and efficient for lead developers. I can understand the whole security, usability impact. Wild agile doesn't help in a structural organization serving millions of non-technical users.

And thanks for the insight.

I think at this point they know we are all angry at their inability to reboot government.

I brought this up because if you were to open source government websites and IT projects, it is also doable to create an issue tracker fills with questions and issues for congressmen, no?

We have issue tracker with issue labels. A cognressman can probably create an issue tracker like that! And update CHANGELOG.md periodically to show progress!

By the way, I wouldn't contribute to government repos myself because from my observations no one takes other people's pull request or the repo just die.

You should tell everyone on that issue. And caring about your government is not trolling. It's funny to see those suggestions, but they carry a freakin' point.

Before we go on, please have someone fix this bug. We are making a lot of suggestion, but no WhiteHouse developers are interested in this. This is not how you do an open source project.
