Importantly it only prevents clients that actually cares about the cors headers. Like ohh I'm from hacker.org and the http headers says it only allows zoom.us ohh nooooo. Like it's just a http header!
Now if you use a mainstream browsers and you accidentally visits hacker.org in a iframe at some shady site - then the cors header will prevent your browser from accessing it.
It works great in dynamic languages as well. Static typing is mostly to aid the IDE. In dynamic languages you can infer the type by looking at the code, and LLM are good at that.

The tech stack is almost always decided by someone in leadership that has no developer experience. Or by the consultant company that will chose the most complicated and difficult to maintain stack because then they can invoice more and will win all future contracts. What hurts the most is that most ppl disagree with me. It's like people telling you they will paint your house for free, even though the color of your house is perfectly fine, you agree to paint it in another color. Then you come home to find that they have bored a bunch of holes in the facade and tells you it's the new industry standard, when the winter comes you will have to plug these holes with special plugs, and you wake up next morning and it's -10 C outside. Your house is now pink, you are cold, and nothing has improved. Next week another team comes by and offers to repaint your house for free... They say orange is the new pink.
