Plotapi (https://plotapi.com) has its 20% off sale running... it's independent :) focus is on creating beautiful and interactive visualisations

Hi - my pleasure!

It's as mkl said - a static site generator. It's a Python-based one so I was more comfortable customising it.

For PlotAPI (https://plotapi.com) I’m using:

- FastAPI for the SaaS itself

- WooCommerce for the accounts and subscriptions

- Nikola for the gallery and feature demonstrations

- FreeAgent for handling all the tax obligations (UK)

I’ve been checking out Ghost CMS recently. It’s looking great so far for content and subscription management.

Self publishing has been great for me... given me more control and brought me closer to my readers [1]

It also means I've been able to work on "early access books" with regular updates

I know what you mean. They've just released their "expansion" too, New Genesis, which pushes further away from the original!

Amazing on both the N64 and the Dreamcast!

I vaguely remember the right angle bends - but don't remember taking issue with them. Though - I was much younger and perhaps not as critical! Manx TT SuperBike was good

Sold on the Xbox a long time ago - back when I regularly moved from flat to flat it became a hassle to take all that stuff with me! I’ll check out Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, thanks for the tip!

The Dreamcast was great for racing games - particularly arcade racers too!

The last one I remember buying was Metropolis Street Racer - good fun.

If you haven’t checked it out, give Tokyo Xtreme Racer a look

Amazing work! The Dreamcast was and is my favourite console, I still have many great memories from having it all those years ago. So much so that I made this [1] when messing about with D3.js

It's mentioned in the article, but it's great that the emulation of original Xbox games has improved such that many games are now playable. I remember checking back every year to see if I could finally play Jet Set Radio Future (JSRF), and one day eventually being able to get in the game and play! It's hinted in the article but I look forward to the day when JSRF has better emulation. They've done great work to get it this far already!

It's a shame JSRF wasn't re-released on Steam like JSR... also a shame that they couldn't use the original soundtrack when re-releasing Crazy Taxi, so I still prefer to emulate on Dreamcast despite owning it on Steam.

I use a static site generator that I've modified with features that I needed!

I'm very grateful for Jupyter Lab and Jupyter Notebooks. I work with them more than anything else, and even use them with Rust [1], my data visualisations [2], and to write my books [3].

Nice!

However, I prefer IBM Plex[1], and it has the advantage of being an open-source project!

I have recently re-designed my CV (15 pages down to 2) and used IBM Plex for all of it... happy so far.

I did some clean-up on Plotapi (https://plotapi.com) in preparation for the next data visualisation I introduce... it was mostly some improvements around caching and compression. REST Client plugin for VSCode has been useful for testing this!

Some users are making requests up to 20MB - so the next step will be to compress payloads on the sender side!

That is the first positive comment I've ever had about m8.fyi - thank you, really!

I'm British - "mate" is used often but it doesn't sound as friendly as when Aussies use it!
