US resident here. I’ve never seen a handle like [0]. Every car I’ve been in has handles like [1]. I don’t know if I’d be able to get out of [0] in the event of an emergency without being made aware of it prior.
Same. In fact, lofi seems to really disrupt my focus. There are times where a beat/kick is so loud it becomes disruptive. I also like background sounds and true ambient music.
The stock market does not reflect the reality - in fact, you might say the market is coming back to reality. There’s been small layouts but to call it a “meltdown” is a bit much.
While I have no data to support this, I don’t think “regular people” are purchasing OEM parts, renting tools for a $1,200 deposit, and risking self-repair. To me, the idea is almost absurd.
>Riad had initially set his car’s speed to 77 mph; he then set it to 78 mph, and then finally changed the speed to 75 mph. At the time of the crash, the car was going approximately 74 mph.
For me, I’d convict. This isn’t a case of ‘autopilot’ as much as it’s a case where a person purposely (with intent) set his speed above legal limits and did not maintain the attention while doing so.. causing the death of two individuals on their first date.
> For Apple, 10m phones is peanuts. But for an independent company 10m units per year would be spectacular. If Apple kills the Mini, those people will need a new home.
Hm, I’d suspect most of the customers are more attached to the Apple iPhone than the form. I’m one, but, I could be wrong!
I worked for a company that was saved from bankruptcy due to COVID (i.e. product was instantly of high demand). Instead of using this “gift” to stabilize the company, management used it to raise their wages, hire outside consultants, and further invest in our out losing strategy.
I’m strongly in favor of gatekeeping. I know that’s a bad word to some but that’s how you retain focus and purpose. It used to be the “normies” that you’d shield your group from, now it’s the “normies”, griefers, and the perma-offended.
>The main reason is that almost all content online comes from people who are mentally ill.
I wasn’t brave enough to say this, but since you have, I want to agree. Gaming, Discord, forums, etc - filled to the brink with mentally ill individuals.
CEOs need to be compensated on business metrics - not all financial. The metrics should account for short- and long-term growth, employee retention, public relations, etc. If you tank the company, you walk away with nothing.
In terms of DDG, I wonder if a non-invasive search engine is viable. I can’t think of a company (Apple?) would has the resources to do it.
