How would you justify the genocide of uighur Muslims in that case? Let's be honest with ourselves. The USA is not the same as China. Let's not lie to each other to prove non issues.
It's easy to be idealistic while sitting at home comfortably . These 2 countries are currently at the brink of war, when one country attacks you, you need to defend yourself anyway you can. I don't see anything wrong in Indias actions. China has long asked for such rebuttal from its neighbors.
Not everything has to be. Sometimes people just voice their opinions. And they are allowed to do so. The same freedom allows you to critique his comment and I, yours.
I tried my level best to read that "article". After about 6 paragraphs it was still on about the authors history and that's when I knew what it was. An advertisement for him. Got the hell out of there. Save your time. Skip this one.
All your replies are arrogant in tone and derogatory to other posters. If you're trying to prove a point you should have to put in as much effort as you are requesting from the others. Provide valid links where the assumptions were wrong and justify your argument. This condescending tone does not suit HN community. I hope someone flags your comments.
Seems like most companies are doing similar models. May I ask what your startup works on and what are the business impacts that you have felt due to the current situation. It would help to have context so that others can understand why you can afford this. Several other startups cannot afford luxuries for employees at this time due to large losses in revenue.
I know pointless replies aren't encouraged in HN but since I've modeled my name after knuth, it would be a shame if I didn't comment just for the sake of it :)
It seems to me the pyramid needs to be flipped upside down. The amount of knowledge needed at mastery is much higher than at the base level when you are learning the elements. It is oversimplified to say the least. Seems like an average post that appeals to a layman who is searching the Internet for an short guided answer to mastery. I didn't buy it.reads like any other self help book or guide. Sorry. Lastly the 10000 hour thing is far deeper than that. Please read the context behind it. Overall decent for a first post on a hobby blog.
