The public nature of the announcement is certainly marketing for our AI offerings as well, but at this point I think most engineers are just worried there will be additional layoffs, in the event management cannibalizes product for short term stock gains again.

Tasers AC output is at low frequency but still significantly faster than human muscles can move, if you watch any video of a tase you'll see it causes the victim's muscles to seize up and not oscillate.

I work at a large SF based SaaS, there's so much money in that space the company spun up a team to build an air gapped version of our product for restricted networks.
It's definitely much slower than the private sector, but if the agencies decide they have a use case, they'll throw money at it until it works in house.

Litigation is almost universally outsourced, especially for cases where damages might be large, even by companies like Microsoft.

As an egregious google maps power user, these are the ones that bother me:
1. Offline maps don't actually download all the destinations in the mapped area
2. Google maps is bad at displaying densely packed businesses - this is an issue online as well
3. No offline bike or transit directions
These are the 3 I checked immediately in organic maps, and all work significantly better there.
I think your point is reasonable, but I'm also a very high income person who thinks nothing of buying data plans when traveling internationally and has an unlimited plan in the US. I routinely meet people while traveling who have the opposite set of financial priorities, organic maps is probably a great choice for them.
The only safe system is for aircraft to avoid wires.
