What would you suggest they study in order to learn how to write code properly? I've been working in chip design for a few years (writing verilog code instead of software code) but I'm thinking of trying to make a move into the software world
What exactly has happened to them under SoftBank that caused their margins to drop so much? I have no idea why they can't turn a decent profit, given that, as you said yourself, the market is more dependent on their reference designs and core IP than ever.
Baffling to me hearing about Americans in SV who can't afford to live on their own on over $150k, that would easily be a top 1% salary in the european city I live in
UK salaries are a lot lower than US salaries but every country has lower salaries than the US and the UK fares better than most. I would guess this means brits have less incentive to emigrate than people from India or somewhere were salaries are even lower than the UK.
It’s also quite difficult to move to the US from the UK, a lot easier to move to Canada, Australia, New Zealand or the rest of Europe.
