"Did the former had of NASA discriminate against gay people?"
I'm so sick of this raige-bait posturing by large corporations, that I don't even care about the rest of the article. I'm not going to read it, and I don't give one damn if the answer to that question is yes or no.
When all you wield is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
I like Uncle Bob's lecture on what it means to be a professional. We have to make time to mold code and recaftor it without buy in - make that time built in to the estimates you give.
Another thought... At some point there's going to be a software caused disaster with very large human cost of life such that the governments of the world will demand and force regulation and certification. Software "Engineer" will have the same hoops and red tape every other engineering profession has to deal with and over the long run we may all be better off if it's not to late. If the transhumanists give birth to free willed laser-beams-for-eyes robot hybrids... probably too late. As dark as this sounds I hope a software disaster comes sooner than later.
Look up Jonathan Pageau. Also checkout Tom Holland's "Dominion".
A "Christian Atheist" is a modern phenomenon, and our materialist culture is the heart of that perspective and one that's deeply misunderstood and flawed.
I'd argue St. Paul and other biblical era scholars would find a western atheist not only very Christian, but also having a very childish and ignorant understanding of reality.
When everything is a thing, we have no room to see the fractal nature of happenings through time and synchronicity up and down layers of abstraction. Reality is just as much an interactive story between narrative and conscious threads as it is space/time, matter/energy. We've lost the first personal perspective of that with our modern "atheism".
Same here. And I wouldn't share my contacts regardless. That's a big ask before getting to any main features and not worth the risk to me.
So a couple of thoughts:
1) Allow me to sign in and post texts without permissions or sharing contacts.
2) Give the option to ask me for photo/file access permissions when I push the photo upload button.
3) When adding contacts, a prompt for contact permission is okay then but should be optional i.e. I should be able to put a phone number or email address in manually. I don't know if you had that or not I stopped at the file permission.
Yup. I started playing Minecraft on Xbox 360 which my kids and I loved. We still love the game, but it's so different now, it's not the same game at all other than voxels and biome themes and some of the original music. We have a ship of Theseus situation. It's no longer the same game. I'd love to be able to pick a version to play like you can on PC.
I'm curious if cultural trends are too blame also. In today's age, heterosexual relations intending to make a family aren't exactly on the pedistool. Wokeness idolizes the most disenfranchised identities, detests patriarchy, and doesn't exactly complain about sacrificing sperm to the glow of digital pornography. Should I even mention abortion?
Oops.
Google "Symbolic world". It's the simulation theory smashing into religion, and it marks the end of the "enlightenment" age that material reductionism has given us.
