It’s not only more comfortable to file off those sharp edges but also makes the laptop less dangerous to carry around. Those sharp edges not only cause discomfort but can chip paint, damage furniture, and inflict damage in general. If you had to you could use it as a weapon I suppose.

There’s an OBGYN we’ve long had a relationship with who takes on residents and cross pollinates with them for a win win knowledge transfer. They also volunteer overseas with charitable medical efforts. Those are probably interesting avenues for keeping up with things from the outside to some degree I imagine.

The secret is to find independent doctors who have their own private practice and who have hospital admit privileges. Also physicians who take cash payment and operate outside a big health organization or who have affiliations with them but don’t answer to them.

I don’t know one way or another but what specifically are the pain points of deflation and how do those compare to the never ending inflation? I’ve lived under inflation all my life, it’s a slow creeping nearly sub threshold insidious process that erodes the value of money. Buy what is life like under deflation, is there pain but ultimate correction to a sane state? It feels like there is no correction to inflation.

What would it take to shift the balance of inflation to restore the purchasing power of the penny? Just out of curiosity how does a government and a people and their economy go the other direction?

characterize it in terms of truth, clarity of truth, simplicity, and correctness. I think we should always evaluate things along those dimensions. Is it true, does it produce truthful things. It makes the evaluation very objective.

every attempt I've attempted thus far has failed at first run, but it was close to a solution that could be adapted and fixed. This has been especially helpful in areas where I'm charting very unfamiliar territory for very narrow scoped problems.

But hearing your 10 line constraint gives me a very https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinite_monkey_theorem vibe to the challenge.

It feels likes some of the office like apps on the browser at least let you read documents and sheets and what not but when you go to edit them they push to to install the app. That's when I switch to the desktop version of the website which lets edit operations proceed. Kind of a weird workflow but it is what it is, mobile biased to reading, and apps biased towards editing. Problem is I don't want the app.

I've seen those but never fully comprehended what it was about or experimented. I need to watch some Youtube videos on the subject and take a bite into that world.

Actually now that I read more into the article his post makes me regret donating my old PocketPC to the Goodwill some years back. If I had known this capability and appreciated it back then I could have used it for some kitchen inventory roles I've been contemplating getting a junk tablet for.

This limitation of the Files app glaringly omitted in this workflow still gets my goat https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/444977/how-can-i-g...

> Otherwise it is e-waste the moment it leaves the factory.

This statement left me contemplating this biasing to e-waste in our production lines, which is to essentially ask how much easier is it to repurpose old devices that permit root administration vs those which do not? This isn't to confuse that every old admin friendly device becomes a repurposed computing tool but the fact that the fraction of those old devices which do, which percent are admin friendly and which are not. That's an interesting question.

very interesting, essentially riding the coattails of the notoriety in derangement, what a concept.

non-sequitur.

I did see this occur personally with this breakfast joint that closed down when some law changed that required some minimum benefits or something or other that added to the payroll expenses and made the venture not worth it. I remember the owner going around informing the guests at their tables that they'd be closing in the next month and if anyone knew of any jobs for their employees they'd welcome the suggestions. It was one of the rare breakfast places in town so it was very missed by us when it bailed. Eventually that location became a Five Guys. It took several years but eventually another breakfast place moved into town.

Interesting the term of do-gooder. Reminds me of this comment this fella shared about his pop. https://youtu.be/NS4UT_t73b0?t=967

> 16:07 my father once said to me, I'll never forget this as long as I live, he doesn't like a reformer or as he used to call em a "do-gooder" in office. He used to call em do-gooders. > > I said "why pop?", he said "because every time they get in office it seems like all the businesses go out. Nothing happens in business. They make it tough for a guy to operate in business."

I was thinking along the line of putting it towards higher quality sourcers on the recruiting half. There's some some specialty boutique stuff out there in many spaces.

is it possible to include language in the contract that comes with a penalty for things that result in this? At the least a money back guarantee.

it's probably to avoid spinning the wheels down in the budget garbage being referenced here and wasting a bunch of time. Pay the upfront cost and leapfrog over the delay.

I second this. When our boss on my team went on maternity leave one of the teammates stepped up to take on her role and get that slice of managerial experience. It worked pretty well for everyone involved and kept the ball rolling.
