I find the Europe's relationship with tech to be wired, there is one section that is hardcore-opensource fanatics, they want to host everything by themselves, and want to go through the trouble of keeping things updated, and would not want to use a close source tools even though they are developed by European counterparts.
On the other side there are people who are techy but happy to use US products, and when you pitch something European they would cite some tool that's better and bigger in US.
It's hard to find people who are in the middle who would like to pay and use a EU made tool.
Also processes take forever, and everything has to go through lot of meetings, and bureaucracy and red-tape and no one is willing to take a chance on a small startup.
I stopped reporting any security bugs I find in web apps because first time I did it I almost got arrested by the police.
The second time I did it they contacted my employer directly without even getting back to me saying they were unhappy of me reporting it and wanted to write about it after they fixed the issue.
Since then I decided it’s not worth all the hassle and I will let them be and I can also have a peaceful day.
I’m now responsible for improving AI literacy in the organization I work.
But the people in charge just want the employees to just answer some questions so they can handover Claude or Chat GPT licenses so they can show people are using AI to improve productivity.
There are people who don’t know when to use AI and when not to use Ai and think they can just Claude their way through everything. I wanted to change that but when the whole idea is to just increase AI use I guess they don’t care about how AI is used.
As a consultant I got my first project through a former colleague who referred me to the organization looking for a consultant.
It's not easy to find consultations out of the blue, I have gotten one by apply to a public call looking for a consultant that I am in the being interviewed process now, but referrals are far more easier.

It is not ground breaking but let your website to have an AI chat bot / agent with minimal integration effort. Also was a good way for me to learn how to keep things safe, prevent prompt injection etc.

My MacBook Air complains about being low on storage, and when I check the disk usage (I have a 256GB version of M1), 15GB is used for Apple Intelligence, which does nothing for me, and there is no way to remove that.

I looking mainly for European market that is willing to self host your content or the model on your own servers, we will provide the technical support in doing so that and easily plugin the AI powered search or chatbot to the website.
But it is also possible to use servers provided by us to host the content and the LLM models.
I switched to fish shell with star ship. Fish has autocomplete and syntax highlighting out of the box which is quite neat and the main features I use in omgzh so fish was a safe choice for me
But it's very interesting that ChatGPT can generate with transparent backgrounds where Gemini continues to fails despite being considered as a better image generation model.
The removing background manually not the best approach because it leaves some rough edges and not as smooth as as generating an image with transparent background
No it was not like that. I assumed it was AI that was my interpretation as a human. And it was kind of a test to see what AI would say about the content.
I had a similar experience. We were talking about a colleague for using ChatGPT in our WhatsApp group chat to sound smart and coming up with interesting points. The talk sounds so mechanical and sounds exactly as ChatGPT.
His responses in Zoom Calls were the same mechanical and sounds like AI generated. I even checked one of his responses in WhatsApp if it's AI by asking the Meta AI whether it's AI written, and Meta AI also agreed that it's AI written and gave points to why it believes this message was AI written.
When I showed the response to the colleague he swore that he was not using ant AI to write his responses. I believe after he said to me it was not AI written. And now reading this I can imagine that it's not an isolated experience.
Something that my medical professor used to tell us was that sugar and salt are man made things (processed sugar). And not something we found in nature and something that our bodies are not evolutionary developed to handle. So too much of salt and sugar was a good thing.
True the origin does not matter, but it would be better to have more transparency about the contributors even if it's an open source tool. Because you can still get injected with a malicious code when an update is pushed.
But I agree we should not categorize according to geolocation, but more transparency would be better irrespective of the location in any project.
I also installed it on my computer to give it a try, but then as you mentioned I could not find who are behind it other than it's based in China. So decided to just keep with Obsidian
