I suspected the same thing. People found that their favorite popular language was at the bottom of the list, and naturally they're curious about frameworks for the faster languages. Exploration is healthy, but realize C/C++ does not have the friendly, extensive and reliable web developer ecosystem that Ruby/JavaScript/Python/PHP has. If you want an in-between, check out Lua/OpenResty/Lapis.

The downvote to my comment is case-in-point. Somebody disagreed with what I was saying and downvoted me. I broke no HN policies and my comment was on topic. If they were required to enter a reason as to why they downvoted me, and their name made public, it's highly unlikely they would have downvoted me just because they disagreed.

I think downvoters should be public, and also require a short contextual explanation for their downvote (< 100 chars; separate metadata from a comment).

This would help curb abusive down-voting. Too many people downvote whimsically simply because they disagree.

What are some frameworks for web developing in C? Is KORE also a framework or just a server?

As for the server, I wonder how performance compares to say, OpenResty loading Lua compiled to bytecode.

Hikikomori is a Japanese phenomenon. It can't be an American phenomenon because it describes people living in Japan, influenced by Japanese society. Japan and America are night and day.

Also, people devoted to exercise are probably not recluses (which is what Hikikomori are), but they may be introverts. Reclusion != introversion.

I feel like I have those exact pains, but I'm not sure about racing flats.. I usually run 5+ miles (not racing) and flats are more for shorter distances (and racing).

What shoes do you wear for marathon training?

p.s. Are those exact flats still purchasable anywhere? Can't find them online (size 11').
