I really like the concept

I wonder if the IDE will eventually die, and be replaced by something fundamentally different, like Claude Code Desktop, Codex Desktop, Lanes.sh, or Factory.

I never understood why there is a discussion about it, one or the other… both serve a different purpose and are complementary.

Flagged just now. Feels like the early days of Stackoverflow :)

Yeah I can see that. How many Claude or Codex terminal sessions do you run in parallel?

So cool! What alternative acronym do you propose?

I hear you, its the same for me tbh, BUT I strongly stand behind the content written. Writing skills are degrading.

Love the concept, am a big fan of these kind of solutions. I can see it also being a use case for non-technical teams to ensure some kind of design consistency. Sales can be horrible in presentations and slides.

This is seriously insane, in particular as someone mentioned the quality of it. I can't wait to play around with this. SICK!

I am sure that I bought a TV for the very last time. This is mind blowing, the future is here!

The idea has emerged from a personal frustration with umbrellas If you buy a too big and expensive umbrella (take for example a gulfbrella), you might recall that it's such a hassle to drag along - just by its weight and size. Also, its something that you will most likely lose during a company event, after one or two drinks.

If you buy a small and cheap version instead, you won’t get sufficient protection due to the small surface. In addition, such smaller variants tend to break quickly, and when this happens, you might as well not have dragged one with you in the first place.

I like the idea, but this would not convince me to move to use Bing. In addition, doesn't Google have something already prepared with LaMDA?

What are alternatives to subscription models?

Just launched https://umbrellatoday.app, which is inspired from my personal frustration with umbrellas. The tool allows you to create alerts for rainy days, warning you to bring an umbrella.

The assumption is that we want to minimize our interaction with umbrellas; if you buy a big umbrella, it is a hassle to drag along and you will most likely loose it after a few afterwork drinks. Other way around, a small and cheap umbrella does not cover you enough, and breaks easily.

As said, just launched, lets see how it goes. Happy to hear your feedback.

Newbie here to VPCs, bastion hosts, VPEs, etc. After spent a while on the topic, some questions arise that you might find redundant or can answer.

I am wondering why we need to configure this many steps as outlined in the article, and in general. What is the point of Teleport in the first place? Why is there no managed service that takes care of all of that, with me focusing on just deploying an app and running it in the VPC.

Can’t 99% of the use cases be put in a template and managed by a service provider, including the security?
