Let me get this straight. Your privacy plan is to alternate library computers while searching logged off Google? I'm impressed with your dedication.

I've been using Kagi for a while now and I'm never going back to Google. Everything is just so much better when you are not the product.

But kicking someone off mid-flight at high altitude is still a bit harsh. I hope they give them parachutes at least.

Wow this looks amazing, but the camera made me very nauseous, I had to stop playing.

Because I cloned it from Lobste.rs and probably forgot to change that one.

Yes! https://gamedev.city/rss

Because Lemmy is a bit too much like social media and kinda bloated for me. I wanted something simpler so I hosted it.

Website maintainer here, that's kinda what we are going for. I really don't want to have to moderate a big community, this is supposed to be something you check once or twice a week.

Maintainer of the website here! I'm happy (and a bit terrified) that we made it to the front page of Hacker News.

This isn’t a commercial project, and it never will be. We’re curating the site for a very specific vibe and high-quality content, which is why we’re invitation-only and why we aim to grow the community slowly and intentionally. I also want to ensure our server can handle the traffic without issues.

I’m slowly working through the invitation queue, so please bear with me!

Clicking on logo on the top left should go it! In retrospect I should add a little text there to make it clear. (I'm the website maintainer)

That's really cool and super cute! I just don't know how I feel with the links being public, are we expected to use a long hash or something?

Same here, it's cropping tool is the thing that makes it for me

I used this for years, but replaced it with Power toys. But now PowerToys is getting slow and not always getting what I want, maybe this is a sign that I should switch back.

I've learned pixel art by messing with Sim City 2000 files! I found out that I could just change the sprites, so I started modding the game, and learning how tiles and palette animation works. Now, on every game I make or work on, I try to keep atlas and files exposed and unencrypted, so people can play around with it.

This is fun

It's really cool how they managed to make an interesting mechanic with such a big limitation

This looks interesting, but is there any information about who is making this? If this is a Wikipedia-like, how can someone contribute or edit things?

I believe so! Nothing that a full drawing app can't do, but it is also nice to have simple tools like this for quick sketches.

This has definitely caught my attention. The fact that it's a web app that allows me to self-host it makes this a strong contender against Obsidian. Looks great too!

Reminds me of Standard Notes, which is great! Thanks for the link
