We used to keep it in it's own separate thing: Microsoft Excel.

Oh "Preinstallation Environment" not PE as in the executable header in windows.

Because mass is in 3 dimensions.

Yep, the current systems incentives are not aligned with it's continued existence.

This sounds kinda of horrible ?

I'd rather build things slower (perhaps with an LLMs help at times) that understandable and high quality.

You get quantity of tests, but the tests are not good quality by default, at all.

They get 12 percent and us ordinary consumers get to pay a lot more, all because of this stupid play by billionaires.

That's fine. There are plenty of projects that don't hit that scale.

"Communication itself isn't free, after all"

Off topic, but that's my problem with microservices, devs seem to be totally unaware of this.

Because of Peter Thiels money and what he stands for and his willingness to try and bring about his vision which involves being against democracy and outlandish things like saying Gretta Thunberg is the antichrist.

He's a nutter with a lot of money, so if he's arranging a club of likeminded people it's worth scrutiny.

We've all seen how LLMs write, imagine someone who talks like that.

Especially for a company the size of Microsoft.

The programs shipped with the OS should be exemplary versions of each thing.

Everyone has tools they are most comfortable with.

Postgres and PGVector works for me.

Elastic search always wants a lot of resources and takes a long time to populate, requiring the JVM is yet another thing to add and configure too.

Can we get some commitment from Andy Burnham for something like this?

Similar: as soon as I see that LLM style I bail out, you can't trust the content.

If they can't be arsed to write it, why TF should I be arsed to read it.

We need a private equity tracker so we can get alerts on these and track the debt loading and looting.

I love the shipping forecast and sailing by but never wanted to hear the national anthem, a weird mix of being relaxed then jumping up to turn off the radio.

How can you read LLM generated text, it makes me feel nausious ?

The same phrases and patterns repeated over and over again, blech.

Potentially ?

Definitely is.
