I keep hearing this idea of artificially restricting residencies like some sort of opec cartel. The fact is no one wants to do primary care there are easy residency spots for family med, peds, internnal med and psych all across the country. 94% of residency spots filled in the country last year (nrmp)

But then again I am a decade out of all that stress of matching so I’m over it.

“ Derrick van Gennep, a former condensed-matter researcher at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who now works in finance ”

This is always sad to see but I get it

I recently saw a video where someone is lip syncing answers to recruiter questions over a zoom call

So if you say the sky is green, and NASA says "That's wrong", you call that censorship?

“It understands the difference between a recorded message and an actual representative on the line.”

If it can really understand that hold music stopped to play a periodic voice recording of “your call is important to us” is still a recording (and not have the urge to smash phone at the wall) I’m completely sold!

Musk is very good at getting public support on his side. Please, we’ve already lost the public support for so many important institutions in the US. I get they are slow, and this is frustrating but I don’t want the FAA to be on the chopping block because someone didn’t plan ahead. If the FDA gets in the way of vaccine development you bet musk would tweet against it.

This was my experience as well. When I see geniuses that coast through everything thrown at them, I wonder if I have any advantage over them in the future, having struggled before, or they're just so smart that nothing touches them.

My 2006 honda civic navigation had a good mix of touch and physical buttons, that is almost no-look. What I find funny though is that since it's a resistive touch and has a beep for every button (after a lag of course), i get "haptic feedback"
