This was a great story. What I see is that Kim had around five affairs at that time, all overlapping, between Dec to Feb 1984

3 and 4 are Sean and Todd respectively. It's normal behavior and understandable that a woman will lie about it because of the social stigma but genetically it's biologically sensible for her to try to get as much material as she can when she's fertile. Even though she remembers this she's not going to risk her having another potential person to take care of her in her old age by telling the truth. Plus the stigma plays a part in her being reluctant to tell Emma the truth.

There's a lot of these stories out there between 10% and 25% of people globally are affected by various kinds of this genealogical bewilderment even if they don't know it or they have an established it through genetic testing.
