I did a similar study but analyzing actual API subdomains, and ignoring those fronted by Cloudflare, Akamai, etc and the conclusion was the opposite: European companied are more likely to be using OVH and Hetzner than AWS/Azure

Mommy bloggers was probably the most ludicrous niche back then. Tons of consumer companies wanted to pay them to promote their product or have a “giveaway”

Never. Even if things go haywire, the government will as a last resort start buying stocks in droves to bail everyone out.

Actually not never. It will crash when the world ends. Good luck profiting from that :)

'those with attention' is a unicorn. Look at Facebook + Google - they own attention. Yet a huge % of products they make are duds. It is much much harder than you think to get lots of people to use your product.

AI can help you write code, but it still can't help you get customers, or attention. In fact, it makes it worse. AI helps with introducing more noise, more content, and more people clamoring for attention. It's a lemon market.

You're right on the latter point. I always wondered if Linkedin increased their spam filter or make it 10x more expensive to DM candidates, but I guess it's simply because there is simply a lack of demand right now

Maybe companies should say “Wanna apply for a job? Come to our office during these hours for a pre-screening and to drop off your resume” you can’t email or apply online anymore

No i am not optimistic.

Though if you asked people this 25 years ago or 50 years ago, or 100 years ago they would say the same exact thing

I get those emails too but they’re always followed by “btw we sell so and so, do you got time for a demo?”

So when someone tells me they like my blog, i’m afraid to respond because they’ll just pitch me in response

I an working on Bloomberry (https://bloomberry.com), an alternative to Builtwith for finding companies that use a specific b2b product, such as Microsoft 365 (ie, bloomberry.com/data/microsoft365/)

Someone gets bailed out and the cycle starts again. Isnt this how it works?
