Right the areas that companies took money to roll out high speed internet to, then just kept the money and called DSL high speed or just did nothing. The government should keep giving companies money and investing in them. It's brilliant.

What's the technical distinction? Do you mean music that is composed by an LLM when referring to AI? How can one draw the line? It's like saying math doesn't count if the doctor used a calculator or your house isn't real because electricity was used to assemble it.

There's a lot of moving parts one of which includes the destruction of the concept of truth itself, so it's tough to describe. TLDR: we get to see how powerful modern propaganda systems are compared to those that existed prior to the great depression.

I don't think so. Covid just provided more cover and justification for the looting programs.

If we assume the play is the same as MAGA 1, the economic fallout happens post-2028. They'll keep inflating the bubble until MAGA cedes power. If that occurs.

Gotta say, I'm really annoyed that the corruption of the government is directly responsible for what new toys I'm allowed to play with.

This article is absurd for an outlet who published an article that's meant to be news not editorial. Reuters was once a news wire and is still considered that. The first two paragraphs refer to "attack" and "strike" against Anthropic. This is sensational nonsense, not news. There was no strike, or attack. Block the accounts. Why is this news, and why are they pandering to the people who just banned the new model they burned at least $10 billion training? The closer you look at this AI stuff the more absurd it is. I assume the strat is to keep the bubble floating until post-2028, then drop the bomb on the Dem who wins. Just like with the covid inflation + economic rigging Trump did in 2016-2020.

Same thing, but qwen has decided to rebrand certain LLMs that were trained slightly differently as "world models". Despite the fact that "world model" typically means !LLM.

It's possible that there are geographic differences. I don't dispute your experience, just sharing mine. It would be nice to experiment with their platform.

Again, neither Anthropic or OpenAI asked for PII. Only my payment information. Open Router requires a phone to get an account, which is why I'll never have one.

To create an OpenRouter account, you have to supply a phone number. Neither Anthropic or OpenAI required this. This prevents privacy aware users from signing up.

I don't know if it's unhelpful if you consider broader time scales. In 2027 or 2028, Anthropic and OpenAI might decide to stop subsidizing LLM usage and charge enough to profit. Would you pay $100 for a bug fix? They're already headed in this direction. Fable was 10x cost of Opus 4.6. They can't keep burning cash forever and we're reaching the peak of what can be justifiably spent on training cycles. Speaking of training, did OpenAI just give up?

I use claude and codex with VPN on and off everyday on personal computer. That's not why.

When you label anything with an electrical current AI, ignore all copyright, then cite AI as cause for layoffs ... what do you expect? It's all vibes. Qwen released "world models" that are video processing models instructed through text. Words have no real meaning anymore.

This is correct and certain subjects are very close to if not impossible like "use versus mention", but LLM security isn't impossible. WAFs are real and have existed for a long time. Input text produces various signals and can be secured.

No security is ever perfect, but we can likely protect LLMs with WAFs that increase security to an acceptable level. Like nation-state required resources to break.

Does anyone consider Musk a nerd? He's more into marketing than GOOGL.

Call me an idiot, but this 'fable' is necessary for big AI to avoid commodotization. If the mythos family is beyond what's economical to train, then there needs to be some external force to create scarcity for demand. Otherwise, the distillers win in 6 months. With the fable, they avoid there's now a product that cannot be a commodity because it's not usable. Only a myth.

Your assertion is the US is less corrupt than Mexico? Can you explain how laws are made in America and who they benefit what percentage of the time? Can you explain the open fraud described as AI?

Use whatever terminal you want.

Use claude or codex cli as architect.

Use !architect-model as actor.

Use local model for scout, extraction, etc.

Read recent AI research in arxiv.

Build a system that suits your workflow based on these principles: executable verification is king, independence is mandatory, a zero-failure report is a claim to be audited, not a result to be celebrated.

Do you expect US wait times to be better considering all other metrics are worse? Have you ever tried to access health care in the US?
