>which are the biggest contributor to the glints we can see in the night sky.

>They're such an enormous part of the problem

What an incredible life of privilege you must live to perceive a few glints in the sky as a huge problem.

Lobby wait time is rather extreme, and false-starts are really tough (40m to get full team -> get it balanced -> launch game -> someone disconnects on start, or went AFK because of the long wait time -> re re re re in chat -> launch new lobby -> only 60% rejoin -> match is now unbalanced -> wait 20m -> some god among men with 2500k ELO joins -> match is un-balancable

>Rust is perfect for writing all of code using LLM. It's strict type system makes is less likely to make very dumb mistakes that other languages might allow.

100%. I've been telling everyone who will listen this for 2 years. LLMs are infinitely more productive with swift code like

let engineCycleCount: Int = 5

vs

let eC = 5

They still make mistakes, but forcing _explicit_ typing in a strongly typed language makes them make far fewer mistakes + the compiler is catching >90% of what you try to catch with a billion rspecs in trash languages like ruby.

>but living in an environment with background radiation levels 50x higher than on Earth

We can park a big honkin magnet at the mars-sun lagrange point and cut that down massively.

Came here to post this. 4.7 is absolutely useless for binary/firmware analysis on our own freakin products.

Anthropic needs to get their ish together I've got real work to do.

Why did you guys remove the ability to detach the console and move it to another window?

>How is it illegal? It is their platform to do what they want with it.

It was illegal for the officials who did it, not for Meta/Google to follow their orders. That part was merely unethical.

>The law was written specifically to allow blocking imports from a country.

The precise wording is regulate. The idea that "regulate" means you can turn it on or off with no in-between is beyond parody. Absurd. Hilarious. Farcical.

That said the headline is misleading and should be renamed, nothing is changing from this ruling.

Or from the other perspective: Meta and Google have had their finger on the scale for more than a decade (along with old twitter).

In twitters case, you had regime officials directing censorship illegally through open emails and meetings.

It's no surprise that the needle moves right when you dial back the suppression of free expression even a little bit (X still censors plenty)

>The SOTA isn't capable of using a code diff as a jumping off point.

The low quality of HN comments has been blowing my mind.

I have quite literally been doing what you describe every working day for the last 6+ months.

I see the slippery slope fallacy-fallacy more than the base fallacy.

All I can say is that the archives of these threads/comments are going to be _highly_ entertaining to our future-selves (hello future people reading this!).

The amount of ignorance on display is overwhelming, and a lot of people who fancy themselves intelligent are going to struggle to come to terms with how they were so wrong for so long.

Absolutely uninformed take.

- The (democrat) senate majority leader mentioned "non human intelligence"

- Rubio _is_ worried about "ET", per multiple interviews where this is presented as a likely explanation for the observed behavior

- No, an "AI Controlled drone" does not "fit the quotes description", not in the slightest. You are either grossly misinformed about the claims, the capabilities of modern aircraft (black or otherwise), or intentionally misleading others.

First high-quality comment in this thread, and you absolutely nailed it.

Extremely misleading comment that I'm happy to see has already been broken down in another reply. Frustrating to see this at the top.

But... why?

>If it doesn't use the normal wiring people already have it's a hard pass from me.

Why? a real smart thermostat can just use the existing wiring for power and then use IP over Wifi or Matter/Thread to communicate. Way better than the crappy wiring in most people's houses for thermostat control.
