The biggest point for me from the article isn’t the stand ups.

It’s that their fun projects are, mostly, improving their quality of life while working. Improving deployments, faster compilation, analytics... those aren’t fun because pure fun, those are just necessities that should have been tackled earlier.

Improving that kind of stuff always makes development less frustrating, narrowing the time between something is coded and something is running in production.
