I finally took the thirty seconds to find that famous video of the moon getting hit with a bullet, lmk if you are entertained to watch all the way through https://youtu.be/ZNAHcMMOHE8?si=GndI2PShs_vtGUT8
We are still a bit of a ways away from being able to compile a script into a show. Also Veo 3.1 is old AF, it can't even do audio references! the cool kids are currently focused on Seedance 2.
This is the most recent thing I put together (sry it's on LinkedIn, haven't posted the series elsewhere yet)
I'm also unsure if screenplay to video is the desired... workflow we will eventually want.
I am biased, but am a bit kinder to AI video slop than most. Like I bet the first ever movies were pretty shit too. Give it a couple years while we figure out this new technology, and it's currently as bad as it ever will be, it can only get better.
At first usage I'm not impressed. I've probably spent a couple grand on Seedance 2 to date, and I can't find anything google omni flash does better than Seedance from running a handful of samples through the system. You can find some of the videos I've made in my HN bio link.
Has anyone used this for shipping native apps? I know that's not what it was designed for but I would love to be able to ship a Tauri + rails app some day
IMO the biggest barrier to entry to the hobby is the price, coupled with the existing communities being really old. I'm trying to get people to print their own cards for casual kitchen table play through https://cardstocktcg.com.
I've been rocking a Razr 2025 Ultra and just try to do everything on the front screen. Its not the best experience, just pre-ordered this, excited to try it!
I wish this article would have went more in-depth on how they're setting up backups. The great thing about sequel light is lightstream makes backup and restore something you don't really have to think about
I've had trouble getting KDE connect to work as a shared clipboard between Android and my Mac. Has anyone ever done that successfully? I couldn't find any documentation to indicate people have which is a real bummer.
I love Jason Bosco (the typesense guy). I love Ruby on Rails. But I've been using Meilisearch more and more over the past year on client projects. They maintain a top of the line Rails integration: https://github.com/meilisearch/meilisearch-rails
Doesn’t the GameCube already have a network interface? Like something called phantasy star online used it for internet, and you can connect multiple GameCubes for 16 player Mario kart I believe.
Now compare that to the first 20 minutes of this AI movie: https://youtu.be/digHr6k38x0?si=s2rzWD346R9qGkLs
