This is the first time I've encountered this term! What an excellent word.

I had never heard of this feature before but I'm having a hard time seeing why it's useful. It doesn't seem to add anything substantial beyond what a commit message already allows.

Interested in comments from anyone who lives in India or has experience/familiarity with it as to whether reality on the ground matches the rosy picture painted in the article.

So does that mean it would be profitable to short the lira? Not a forex trader but it's where my mind went.

> Potentially for newer developers it robs them of active experience of writing code.

And for those with experience, this will be obvious when reviewing their code. There's only two possibilities -- either copilot will get so good that it won't matter, or code written by copilot will have obvious tells and when someone is over-relying on it to cover up for a lack of knowledge, that will be very clear from repetition of the same sorts of mistakes.

I don't understand, am I missing something? You just pick up blue and teal blocks while a red block slowly chases you? Why are people so excited about this? I feel like I'm missing something.

They won't be a market leader in everything. What do they lead aside from search, ads, and mobile OS?

The really funny bit is that near the end of Steve Jobs's life (per the biography), Larry Page asked him for advice and of course he said "focus on doing a few things really well, cut out everything else."

Seems Larry decided he knew better.

"Request Invite" --> 404.

Good start.

EDIT: Only if the window is sized small enough to trigger the mobile layout for the navbar. Kind of funny in view of Mobilegeddon.
