Mikrotik released ROSE with arm cpu and 20 u2 for around $1800 this year. My excitement was quickly cooled once I learn they only support their mikrotik router os, no Linux.

Again? They've exposed their customers contacts in 2020, getting targeted phishing since then. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23984436

firing: its hard to sue a fed employee for doing their job. and its on the plaintiff to prove that firing was not a part of their responsibilities.

(there were cases of DOGE lying + access to protected data, idk if plaintiffs can prove personal responsibilities tho, maybe some)

You can do some cool stuff, like serving an RSS file that is also styled/rendered in the browser. A great loss for the 2010 idea of semantic web. One corporation is unhappy because it does not cover their use cases

| GraalVM for JDK 24 was the final GraalVM release licensed and supported as part of Oracle Java SE Products. Customers requiring further updates to legacy GraalVM versions should download them via Oracle Support.

Huh, that sounded to me that there won't be any new free graalvm versions? Sounds like a death record for a project.

So shipping bytecode is not mandatory? Interesting, what % of developers are actually sending the bytecode in, then.

There is nothing more frustrating than unkillable processes stuck io iowait(D) state. There's no reason for this behavior to exist. And its so easy to hang forever - network blink, your NFS client gets stuck and your programs too.

Notably, Madoff hedge fund was also very undercover and hard to get into and had was quite picky who's money they accept.
