1. If you think you're so in demand there's always a good job offer waiting for you -- get over yourself, your chosen profession or your locale. What you do isn't that valuable. It it were, you'd still be employed.
2. If you're freaked out because you're not prepared for the loss of income -- you're stupid. Learn from this and prepare for the next unexpected end of the world. They happen quite regularly, in case you haven't been paying attention.
