SEEKING WORK | GMT+8 (Perth, Australia) | Remote | Software Engineer | 10+ years experience
I'm currently in a project but just wondering what else is out there. Good competent devs are hard to find. My clients pay US$100+ per hour for my services. Come see what I can do for you. I won't be on the market for long :)
Prior to my current gig, I was an Engineering Manager/Software Engineer hybrid (and occasional executive) at a 100% remote US startup for 5 years.
I also have a smattering of side projects.
I have wide ranging experience with software and technology.
I'm a self-motivated person and always learning new things.
I'm a creative thinker who is able to take a multi-disciplinary approach to solving problems.
I don't just do 'software', but also the business, legal, social and startup issues around software. (I'm well-read on startup literature.)
I'm a problem solver. Give me a problem and throw me in the deep end. You don't have to keep checking on me. I'll find a way out. I'll either solve the problem or provide you with the necessary information to make an informed decision.
I specialise in debugging hard problems which no one else wants to do.
I keep myself busy. You can see from my work history that, if not employed, I always have a side project happening. But don't let that deter you. I'm always willing to shuffle my priorities for the right opportunity.
Location: Perth, Australia (GMT+8 all year round; no DST)
Remote: Yes
Willing to relocate: Doubtful but not ruling it out

I'm currently in a project but just wondering what else is out there. Good competent devs are hard to find. My clients pay US$120+ per hour for my services. Come see what I can do for you. I won't be on the market for long :)

Relatedly, I link to a lot of personal blogs in my newsletter Interesting Things. They tend to be good quality blogs (otherwise I wouldn't linking to them) so you'd probably find some good stuff there.
Sorta related ... I run a newsletter that curates HN stories which didn't (mostly) make the frontpage, but I also omit politics, big-tech news and stuff like that. There's about 40 stories every week, and most of it is tech/dev related. Would it be a help to you, perhaps?
After filtering out dead and deleted stories, it's about 950-1000 stories per weekday, and about 650 stories per weekend-day. This is what I consistently see after two or so months of curating HN's 'new' tab for my newsletter.
FWIW, my newsletter usually has a few 'company dev blog' articles every week. You should be able to find some good stuff there. See https://bengtan.com/interesting-things.
Article title is: 'This deep-sea creature is long-armed, bristling with teeth, and the sole survivor of 180 million years of evolution' but I couldn't reduce it to fit within the story title limits.
