> building a worse version of AWS just so that it is "European" makes no financial sense

Unless it becomes necessary because of EU regulation?

Funny to see Marmite on a menu for a (presumably) fancy NYC restaurant https://pudding.cool/2026/06/menu-story/assets/menus/474586....

That's a fair point, it would be more interesting to compare the salary to equivalent, family-owned private companies (although I'm sure most of them don't disclose that sort of thing).

Ah I see, I wasn't aware of the Cash ISA change too, thanks.

Wasn't it something like a 3-4% reduction in private school pupil numbers? And some of those would have ended up homeschooled rather than state.

> Ursa will probably be gone in 10 years

Or worse, absorbed by one of the big manufacturers.

I mean, the Hay Festival is in Wales. You don't have to be in America to be affected.

Can you go up without going to the restaurant?

I wonder if it’d also related to the reduced length of time that people stay in a job now? Why invest in training a junior if they’ll move jobs as soon as they reach mid-level.

Wouldn't the Purosangue be the competitor though?

Does Ferrari have the same "relationship requirements" as other high-end manufacturers? I.e. to get the latest and greatest ICE sports case, you'll need to buy one of these first.
