I think that is an overstatement. I use systemd but there is legitimate criticism and even a questionable conflict of interest in the creator now working for the competition. People working against the best interest of the community is a real threat that shouldn't simply be ignored. However, so far systemd has worked out alright for me so I can't complain too much but the documentation is still lacking in certain areas and so doing things that are easy to understand with a traditional script based RC can become frustrating when you are trying to figure out the systemd-way to do things.

Never had this issue. Sounds like they need to recreate the symlink.

That is a really simple fix. Sounds like one of the units is hanging. This actually shouldn't prevent shutdown but may make it hang for like 2 minutes.

Next to is fine, but instead of would be a huge loss. Although GPG gets a lot of unwarranted hate, it is still a very powerful tool that I won't be replacing anytime soon.

Why would it matter to them? They are already more expensive than other providers. Rclone connects to multiple cloud hosting solutions already too. If they revoked API access I'm pretty sure the backlash would be the final straw.

This is a stupid argument that the Twitter author made. Saving music digitally is reading by robot, so recording music that wasn't digital into a digital format is fair use.

Yes, you can do it through the config or by using shortcuts to switch a group of windows into tabs. I'd also recommend tmux and tmuxp.

True, but tabs are something built into tiling window managers like Sway. If you want a fast terminal with tabs then I'd recommend kitty.

Colored emojis work fine, but for ligatures you need kitty as far as I'm aware. I ran into this when attempt internationalization of a website.
