Wouldn't an increase in co2 in the atmosphere spur a massive plant growth, both on land and in the oceans? I have no qualifications nor merit in this field as well, so anyone please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

These statistics [1] would suggest that sociological factors are in play, especially if you look at the graphs for young people. The number of young men not having sex is at record numbers.

Just disable website search or change the search parameter inside website settings to stop Matomo from interpreting the 'q' parameter as search.

How do you differ from Cloudflare?

I am concerned about false positives - but I will weigh cons and pros. Thank you for your suggestion.

1. Bots are more than half of my traffic right now and they don't provide any benefits except using my bandwidth and distort my statistics. 2. Strange behavior + technology 2a-c. Could be a part of a solution. 3. Good idea

The purpose of this thread is to gather ideas and experiences. A silver bullet would be great, but since it's not realistic, all ideas are more than welcome.

Blocking real users is not an option - but I can see that this would be a good setup if blocking bots were of the absolute highest priority.

In my case I am concerned about false positives since visitor experience is a higher priority than blocking all bots. Cloudflare, in my experience, do generate too many false positives when it's too aggressive. A very nice idea though in other cases.

Good suggestions. A priority is to not in any way diminish the visitor experience, I am therefore very wary of false positives.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing. Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland have seemingly all chosen the same path, will Finland has remained conservative. The future will tell what was the best policy.

An increase in supply of housing would also dampen the demand for renting, thus decreasing the willingness of speculators to buy new rental units.

Most of your suggestions would cause other problems. The root of the current situation is seemingly a lack of supply which in turn is mostly due to government regulations.

For instance, here in Sweden, it's very bizarre since we very much don't lack land suitable for new homes. Nimby regulations together with construction laws have however created a situation where prices for new homes have skyrocketed. Demand is overshooting supply by a lot (for the last decades), when there is nothing but government regulations keeping the market from beeing able to supply this demand.

It would have been true if the supply side of the market was working. Low interest rates have increased demand but the market has not been apply to increase the number of available homes to meet the demand, hence existing properties have increased in price.

Very cool, thank you for this!
