when I think of 'cheap' in that context, the thought of shoddy does come up.

That seems like a negative.

what kind of benefit could the switch have? I'm having a hard time understanding the need. A "cheap" education dosent seem like a good thing unless were talking about cost to the student.

The #1 thing that comes to mind is leaded oil.

not climate change but, they still lied.

I'm actually surprised _anyone_ is fighting big oil. they're one the bigger players in infrastructure. It may be only me who thinks this but, it seems like gov always rests on the side of self-interest. If it hurts the bottom line for America it just gets down-played and treated as a nesessary evil.

How does one prove global warming is based on humans and isnt a natural phenomenon? Then claim that the proof is so substantial/wide spread that its obvious to everyone involved. They would _need_ to know of wrong doing to be guilty of turning a blind eye/disinformation to it, right?

FWIW, I do think we (humans) are the cause of the earth warming up and, those with the biggest part at play should be held accountable for their actions.

I'm currious how there is a need to go digital. It doesnt seem like it solves anything and introduces more potential for problems.

The only benefit I can see is; It should be easier to take an online test if you've been studying using online materials/substitutes.

I really don't understand the need to make every interaction a digital one.

IMO, here wasnt anything wrong with the paper & pencil version. I think this will end up causing more problems then it solves and just like everything else that goes digital. Just like every other business that can't function without electricity anymore. Our soft skills like being able to tally a restaurant order on paper and letting people pay for it are dissapearing. Its just saddening

That's what it comes down to, what is the law (reguardless of any ethics/morals). For some reason the leash laws are never enforced tho... Seems that could add up to large fines in the same way.

Sadly the courts actually ruled the police have no duty to uphold the law, they literaly get to choose if and when they intervene. including murders, rape, home invasion, etc. and won't face repercussion for looking the other way.

They always have, the internet originated from U.S. defense, (was that not domain name allocation)? residing physicaly with-in a country never mattered. they still consider it ownership.

wasen't this why russia/ussr didn't adhear to US ip's on their local lan?

is this not the same as FAA wanting all the control, including foreign airspace and the space whithin your ceiling?

you physically do not have control over something but still want to say it's yours. that's what this is, no?

only if your travling on the surface in the 10th dimension.

What do you mean by "strongly seperate the renderer from the application"? is there a vs's?

arent they protocols? implementations of a protocol should not change.

my big gripe, chromium seems to make more analytics calls than gecko. are they grouping calls? probably.

gecko/firefox doesnt seem to have this agenda. Doh along with super-cookie controls seem to out-perform chromium in every way.

The end result seems to be privacy.

embedded?? are you using ChromiumOs?

how many vectors are needed to conclude the distance of point A to point B in the 8th dimension? does it remain constant?
f0xtrot
·4 tahun yang lalu·discuss
nvm - this doesnt look like it cares about distance from center points at all (what I cared about) and instead care's whether the surface area spills from the contained square 4a square at any dimension, opps.

doesn't 4th just include time with a 3d object. Would things like waves/pulses fall under that? 5th seems to be used in the Kaluza-Klein theory[0] for gravitation and electromagnetism.

edit: I agree, I don't know why you got down voted. It was a thought provoking question.

I have my doubts that anything changes by adding another dimension, does the distance really change from 2d to 3d? I'm no good at activley imagining larger dimensions than that tho.

None the less, it's a fun thought excercise! Thanks

It seems that it's mostly the people building those browsers and their personal preferences.

With google building a track record of shady tactics, I would agree. firefox seems the better choice. It seems no more difficult to fork than chromium (though I've never tried).

My 2 cents, there's nothing to stop anyone from refusing to support updates on old frameworks and I'd suspect google to pull the rug out from beneath everyone before firefox anyday.

The video about dhs issuing a statement? I think this may be what they were referring to. https://www.dhs.gov/ntas/advisory/national-terrorism-advisor...
