Interesting. Where I live, the "hooligan" e-bikes are primarily owned and operated by groups of older retirees who refuse to separate themselves from pedestrians. When one mixes the two, any speed is dangerous.
The highlight of my childhood (not to mention the basic consumer education for my eventual career in computing) was wandering the aisles of the Fry's in Campbell, CA.
