I’m curious to what the acquisition price was. Bun said they’ve raised $26 million so I’m assuming the price tag has to be a lot higher than that for investors to agree to an acquisition.

I’ve been on the other side of this.

I asked GitHub if they could change my username to one that was already taken. As long as the account does not have repos of their own and was deemed sufficiently inactive they can take it.

The support staff approved my request, but I have friends who’ve gotten declined.

Past summer I’ve been playing Ultimate Frisbee. I love running routes and cutting.

My work hosts daily lunch hour pickup games on our field. Once a year they sponsored a tournament. We even have a lot of non-employees play with us.

Now I’ve been meeting people outside the work games in local leagues and pickup games through a Meetup group.

Would recommend. The community is really open to newcomers in my area.

Very interesting. Could you share how you got the consultant and how much it was for you?

For me (United States) the pricing for songs is inaccurate if relying on iTunes. A single song is actually $1.29, and from what I sampled full albums are typically $12.99. Definitely a cool idea that could be expanded on!

I’ve had others recommend Forest Mims books before.

I tried to read the “Getting Started in Electronics” but the notebook style to it makes it difficult for me to read for much time. Content is still very great for beginners.

I think if you’re interesting in C you’re just going to have to deal with also working with C++.

When I started out I was looking for the same thing in the embedded space but there wasn’t any jobs strictly using C.

The “best” you could find out there is old code base is in C, new code is in C++. Which there are good reasons for.

Can confirm the interest of workers leaving the embedded space.

I am a embedded C++ engineer and it feels like I’m watching all my friends who work building web apps have fun on the other side.

- More companies/job openings

- Higher salaries

- Flexible working

- More interesting technology/problems
