I’m genuinely curious how do you influence the likelihood your product or service is scrapped and added to training data.

Or is currently iterations of GEO tackling the internet search part of the chatbot and helping owners optimize llms.txt files and such. And if that’s the case, I assume backlinks are still important to help the bot traverse.

This is very neat and really underserved market. Imagine all the DIY YouTube videos for build your X for under X dollars only to see the teacher use $5000 work worth of power tools to make a shelf.

But how do you counter fraud and theft as this scales? Or is the earnest placed onto the host of the tool to protect their property.

Add -ai at the end of prevent AI results from even showing up. It's not a fix but at least prevents one annoyance.

I think the pattern that coined "RAG" is outdated, that pattern being relying on cosine similarities against an index. It was a stop gap for the 4K token window era. For AI copilots, I love Claude Code, Cline's approach of just following imports and dependencies naturally. Land on a file and let it traverse.

No more crossing your fingers with match consign and hoping your reranker did drop a critical piece.
