Can you explain a bit more about this. Would this help in a single server to facilitate backups? Or does this need the the NAS and the Proxmox Backup Server on a different system?

Disrupting a publicly-traded Israeli company? Heads will roll on Monday.

This will cause a disruption to all sorts of intelligence operations. The FBI didn’t get the memo apparently.

Any particular ones that actually had a nice design or seemed well made?

Serious question. When climbers are walking by bodies, do they check if they are still alive or need help? Is there nothing that could be done anyways? Face down means don’t bother checking?

Any human not moving in Rainbow Valley is presumed dead?

I imagine you’re trying to keep yourself alive and keep your eyes forward, and realize you can’t do anything to help them anyways.

> Sending it to journalists beforehand is what I consider an overreaction.

No knowledge on this particular situation. My guess is that they wanted to protect their work by getting it out there. This prevents someone from stealing it during the peer review process.

Thank goodness! Such a relief! In that case, since he went to Princeton and Harvard, we shouldn’t consider his actions idiotic. Instead his actions are malicious intent.

We can’t really blame anyone these days for genuinely believing what The Onion writes about this administration.

All of this talk about reality is giving them way too much credit.

The simple fact is that we’re dealing with idiots and pure stupidity. Idiots elected them and the idiots are having their day in the sun. Unfortunately, their stupidity is no longer contained to the office environments and executive leadership roles they had before. They are unfortunately able to make decisions that affect the general population.

The US did an okay-ish job for a long time keeping people like this from gaining a foothold of too many positions of power. Unfortunately, we lost control and we may never get it back on the right track.

Israel has had a hand up each US politician’s ass since the 1980s. Israel owns all of them.

Nice article. Good points that seem to hit home on a lot of fronts.

There will probably be a lot of comments saying it’s all wrong. Everyone is the wealthiest they have ever been. They have gotten 5 job offers after applying to 5 companies. Food prices are historically low, and so is fuel for that matter. You should be retiring at 55 and if you’re not then you’re doing something wrong.

Having a comment on every post about whether or not it’s written by AI needs need to be added to the HN Guidelines.

Read it. Don’t read it. AI written. Not AI written. Who cares. You don’t need to tell us.

This is actually really cool. We’ve needed this concept everywhere in technology. Something like this would have prevented the isolation and loneliness technology and the internet has created.

I don’t know all the answers, but joining people together, and reminders there are real people still there as we’ve moved from the physical world to the virtual world is an important part of the progression. In 50-100 years we will either have this epiphany or we will fail miserably.

It looks like a culdesac? Why would it be driving that fast into a culdesac?

So friggin’ cool. I think it’s really fun and when you can instantly entice people to click around and explore then you have already succeeded.

This only works if the culture is healthy and the seniors are mentally healthy. Usually, most are trying to protect their turf. Because even having “seniors” in the first place means they been there for a few years and they would like to keep it that way.

Otherwise, no one gives a crap about what the n00b is doing.

Very useful feature for anyone. Probably the lesser known feature because it’s under Accessibility.

It should be a frontline feature to toggle on or off from the command center. It’s there once it’s enabled, but should be there by default.

If we take the down the signs then everything will be okay.

https://www.cnn.com/2026/06/13/politics/judge-ruling-nationa...

> At South Carolina’s Fort Sumter National Monument, a sign that included details on the looming impacts of climate change, including information on how “rising seas could inundate most of the fort’s walls and flood the historic parade ground” was removed in its entirety.

The World Cup aspect is still incredibly important to point out. The World Cup appeals to a very large demographic and so many traveling around could spell disaster.
