Same experience here. Model 3 is absolutely terrible for this. My father actually kerbed his and screwed up the alloys looking at the screen.

They are fragile as fuck. Literally I dropped one three inches onto the carpet and the screen went pop. Also it slowly bent over time in my bag.

This replaced a 2010 MBP which caught fire after I spilled a drink next to it. The case sucks spilled liquids up like a straw!

I use a T470 thinkpad now. It cost less than a replacement screen for a 15” rMBP did! I have literally beaten the shit out of it for months and it just shrugs it off. I also had a T440 which was abused heavily and shrugged it off.

I had an X220 I poured a coffee in and nothing interesting happened too.

Stay with the thinkpads if you’re an idiot like me.

We have CRA 2015 here in UK. 6 years on everything. Apple ask me what I want to claim under when I take my stuff in there. I only need AppleCare for when I break something :)

I think at the age of 7/8 your metric of success is tied strongly to how you control your body, probably due to all the reinforcement of this from years before. At 12 things were likely easier for me.

They use that ridiculous methodology now. For example my eldest's entire class was held back at the end of the day for 15 minutes due to one child's behaviour. Unfair and her ASD younger sister relies on her to get home and had a complete panic and breakdown over the routine change. Teachers surprisingly never available for comment after such things due to the layer of bureaucracy over everything. Formal complaint raised, pushed to the very end of their own self-inflicted process every time they screw up!

That’s likely. School IT is fraught with cash back handers and lies at least here in the UK.

I was one of the kids who peed himself in class due to one of those teachers. I had asked three times to go. Ripe age of of 12 no less.

It destroyed my fear of and respect for arbitrary authority instantly so I look back on it as a good thing today. I realised that rather than my peers turning on me on a shame basis they turned on the teacher because it was going to be them next.

It also positioned me well for dealing with the somewhat backwards ideals in my own childrens’ school.

Intentional? Now you can deal with it with PR via downplaying while meddling with the results.

Regardless of this I expect, as a paying customer, to be asked and have that choice respected.
