Steam is usually targeted 13+, since most users are under 13 I doubt most are on steam. Probably mobile games (as you said), Minecraft, YouTube, etc.

I don't know about WSLg specifically but last time I heard if you runs a x server with an application like VcXsrv, install XFCE and configure it to use the x server. You can pretty much run XFCE or any other desktop environment in WSL. I don't know about the performance however.

Locast wouldn't let you watch over 15 mins before interrupting you to donate. Then you would need to exit out and join the channel back. To remove this you had to donate around $5/mo AFAIK when I used it last time. So it wasn't really "non-profit"
