At the time it was a beautiful experience. I speculate player population may be low or zero now.

Maybe watching a playthrough from that era would be an alternate good experience too.

Yes.

When you die, your digital assets may simply disappear.

There's no inheritance practice, that I know of, of transferring digital assets.

(re this seeming obvious troll / sarcasm about the current administration's use of overtly misleading rhetoric)

what's interesting is the Lack of push back from obvious false claims by public servants and public organizations in USA

Are US agencies allowed by law to lie, e.g claiming such things as unilaterally making America healthy again .. the MAHA movement by activist litigator JFK Jr?

Question for the developer, have you played the Playstation video game Journey?

The spoiler about it is, that while you adventure from one end of the land to another, and you encounter other sort of people looking players, it turns out that those are actually people and, at the end of the game you get a credits roll list with the PlayStation Network handles for each of the players that you encountered. There is no communication other than moving your character. It's delightful.

Anyhow, that subtle engagement is in my opinion quite valuable.

This eliminates the resale market.

So, no longer can customers:

1. Buy the game as Physical

2. Play it until done or bored

3. Sell it as Used to recoupe some of their gamer cash, and spend it elsewhere

3.1 Other user buy a discounted game. << HERE the CD KEY CODE will already have been consumed by the original purchaser.

NOTE: This game is $100.00 for the full version, and $80.00 for the "not all gameplay" version.

NOTE 2: For Disabled Folks amongst us, who game, the Digital Only system is a bit of a kick in the teeth. It's extra difficult to evaluate whether a game is playable for a given person's individual different-ability, and this evaluation/trying-hard-to-work-with-the-game time-period may easily elapse the retailer's (Sony, et al) Digital Refund timer.

This is our fault, folks.

We technologists lobby ineffectively. We don't unionize. We are never not distracted.

That's a brutal amount of data.. over 100,000 employees, many product details, information about trial participants.

A comment: IT security must be very hard, me not ever having worked in it.

Seems like a reasonable worry.

A principle I feel is true is when one is wealthy enough one starts to believe that rules don't apply to one self.

And so extrapolating upon that, I think it's reasonable to assume that shaping society is not a taboo of arrogance to these people but a Self-Granted right.

I have a similar experience.

Having used Google home assistant since it came out for all the things that it's good for, and watched its quality fluctuate, I find I really have to be more careful nowadays when I ask it questions because it can go overboard more easily.

Is there a term in AI research where it underappreciates the specificity that is being asked for?

Perhaps the AI could be default prompted, "you are a kitchen AI assistant and should tend to answer in facts and details and that are relevant to the current moment."

The US government should be involved in protecting the US fromthis kind of international crime and corporate espionage.

Just a thought, but no call to action from me.

This is sexy, and interesting. Following! "Encrypted voice, video, and chat over Tor -- entirely from the terminal." and it has Push to Talk. It is cool.

Funny to see the avatar on the GitLab project https://gitlab.com/uploads/-/system/user/avatar/32369523/ava... ASCII-person :-D

Just 2 files .. that is nice .. https://gitlab.com/here_forawhile/tcom/-/tree/main .. it's pretty readable too.

FYI: I ran and installed deps (excluding numpy) and then performed the audio/video loopback test, and that worked - perfectly nice :) (might want to zoom on my face automagically, for facial-cues, as my resolution was low). While running in iTerm2 on macos the main menu, after this, it complained about blocking scrollback-history clearing attempts, and then became unwilling to show typed digits - only for the deps + loopback test phases was it willing to show them. ENTER was processed, and the menu rightly said "invalid choice". Still, good work! Here's a video:

Cheers!

Yes - Psychopathy is a thing, last time I researched, in the CEO territory.

I assume it is selected for.

I assume it benefits those at the tippy-top of the western corporate structure.

They make more money, taking advantage of situations that squish other people, in my view more quickly than those with fewer pathologies. In my personal experience they seem to be tacitly accepted by boards & investors. I understand "maximizing profits" is the job.

Not a new thing.

Book style, yeah that's the best aspect ratio vs portrait sized foldable. Wider is better for video without rotation need
