If it was a non-nuclear conflict Russian would have been mowed down long time ago. The only reason why Russia is still in the game is defensive plans involving tactical nuclear weapons.
I think that everybody else did the same as Obama back then. Obama really got into this bombing-people-with-drones-in-some-places-around-the-world stuff.
Those are two different situations with completely different ramifications.
Look, the fact that you guys came here to Europe and liberate us from the nazi Germany, then you defeated Japan, made you a global superpower because you effectively won the war. You have been in this position since the war until 20th of January this year. Trump is actively removing USA from the position of the leader. Talking about leaving NATO, removing soldiers from Europe, … something that took decades to establish takes weeks to destroy.
What’s next? “TSMC give us all trade secrets or we don’t defend Taiwan”?
You have all there benefited from these decades of being in that position.
There’s one thing Postgres doesn’t provide. It doesn’t provide a supplier who a company can put their liability on. A supplier who can fix the problem in Postgres code and maintain it with authority.
But don’t get me wrong. Postgres is an awesome database system.
I would love to hear some ideas about how it could be implemented without jeopardizing the security. A technical analysis, without words like "probably", "maybe". I'm fairly technical and ready to be enlightened.
Thank you for your concern. I hope you understand that all mainstream news is controlled by a very limited number of corporations and alternatives are full of people with their own agendas and tinfoil hats.
> I think if the iPhone was open we’d see numerous ad-blocking efforts that would have made facebook’s data siphoning impossible long ago.
Or it would lead to a bunch of apps which instead of blocking Facebook would either siphon all that data or display their own adverts. Scammers would be happy to have such powers. Thank you very much but I like trusting that only I can use my banking app on my phone.
> I don't understand why your particular experience matters in this argument.
It doesn’t matter. We are having a very enlightening discussion based on my opinion. I’m simply sharing my experiences and an opinion based on those experiences. Nothing more, nothing less.
