The first version of the .doc format was actually a memory dump, which poses security risks and that's why modern Office refuses to open pre-Office '97 .doc files by default.

Give it a try, Immich is truly wonderful. Rich in features, polished UX, it's now better than Google Photos.

Tesla is more of a technology company than a car company, that's why they managed to make a good UX.

Classic car makers are not able to make decent UIs. Plus, each car would be different. So I prefer Android Auto: it's always my Android Auto, regardless of which car I'm driving.

>Brits that had `.eu` domains lost their domains due to Brexit

Ouch, that must've hurt. Brexit is the most stupid thing that Britain has ever imposed on itself.

Notion just migrated from their Somali domain to a normal .com

Just like AI vibecoded websites... Good luck understanding the code when the AI bubble explodes and you can't afford the insane price that AI will have by then.

Cyrillic is not a problem for joining the EU. But adopting Latin script would help Ukraine "move away" from Russia even more.

Yes. They have to change a lot of things to better align with Europe, especially if they join the EU.

They're already working on moving to the European train gauge, they set Christmas to December 25th, etc. but there's still a long way to go.

Like Kazakhstan, which decided to switch from Cyrillic to the Latin alphabet [1] in order to align more with Europe and less with Russia.

I wonder if Ukraine will do the same in a distant future...

I wish I could buy the Steam Machine. I just can't afford it. The high price is probably why people "hate" it.

I'm still mad that Steam stopped producing the hardware Steam Link.

The app replacement is garbage (and not because of the app itself, but because of Android and the fact that most TV have garbage hardware).

I wish Steam would release a new 4k Steam Link, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Unless you read it directly at the library (at least in my country), without borrowing it.

Why does the article start with that line? Looks like they forgot to remove part of their AI prompt...

Also, some banks don't let you use the Wero app, you need to use it through your bank app. Which is a big no for me.

Aren't credit cards KYCed anyway?

Italy is also super oriented on debit cards. People call them "credit card" because they don't know the difference, or even "Bancomat" which is the brand name of the most used Italian debit card network.

Italians don't really care about credit cards, they just want to pay with their "Bancomat" card.

> because of the way the language works

What's the problem of Icelandic? Is it because you stick words together like in Danish or German?

The article describes the current situation first. The whole explanation is quite simple: QUERY requests are the same as GET, but they have a body.
