Does it? Maybe. But I've grown weary of it. It feels like I'm in a relationship with a mercurial partner, never quite knowing where I stand.

I can honestly say that as a paying customer, I'm getting a bit tired of being jerked around by this company. It's on again, off again. Snip snap snip. And by the way, telling people there's a deadline so they all scramble to use their "Fable allowances" before being cut off, only to then be told "just kidding, here's 5 more days" without getting a usage reset is just another frustrating and disappointing customer experience.

Seriously, all OAI needs to do at this point is just release GPT 5.6, have it be a solid model and then not jerk it out of the hands of their customers, and they're going to eat Anthropic's lunch.

That's one unfortunate name

Yeah this is wild stuff. Seeing Anthropic free fall after building up such good will is shocking.

I think the 5 series of models suck kinda. I'm sticking with 4.6 for as long as I can. But GPT 5.5 fixes me up nice like too.

I can't argue with a legit question and I suspect some others will feel the same. The answer (which you may not agree with) is that without a signup of any kind this would be a completely different thing. It wouldn't be a "semi-private network" for people who miss the old web or a community that rejects what's wrong with social media now. It'd be an open door anyone could pass through which would leave me no ability to moderate and basically nullifies the whole premise. The barrier is what lets it self-select. So the only rationale I can offer for why you should bother is if any of it resonates and you're curious whether you'd like it, come check it out. If not, no hard feelings here.

It tapered to a plateau. :)

My experience has been the appetite suppression goes down after a while but doesn’t go away entirely. With each change in dose there’s always a more pronounced effect in the beginning. I don’t take it for weight loss though, I take it for T2 and my A1C is a 4.3 so it works very well for that and it’s unlikely I’ll change doses again because it’s well controlled.

The White House is already 100% corrupt. The American political system has failed in keeping out a conman pedophile from the highest office in the land. What follows is pretty much what you'd expect under these conditions.

I love visiting Marfa. If you haven't been, I recommend it (you should read up on it first, it's not really for everyone, it's a pretty weird little dessert town).

I’m at 7.5mg now so can’t speak to any doses higher than that. But I’m assuming each step up would reintroduce more appetite control and reduce food noise and then level back off a bit. Not saying the effects go to zero, just that they start off more pronounced.

I've been on Mounjaro for a couple of years. Unfortunately this effect seems to plateau somewhat and you have to bump your dose. I've changed doses 3 times now, so I'm pretty familiar with how long each increase lasts. It still provides some appetite control, but those initial gains, or the honeymoon phase, definitely tapers. Still, I'm better off being on it versus not and I think it allows me to maintain a healthy weight easier. Plus reap all the other benefits we're learning more about.

Hasn't done jack shit for my depression.

Also worth mentioning GLP1's are known to cause anhedonia. So there's that...

New dad to an 8.5 month old. It's changed my life in ways I couldn't imagine. It's been hard but so rewarding. Today was my first father's day and it couldn't have been better.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads here. And happy Father's Day to my own Dad, who isn't with us anymore, but gave me a great upbringing and lessons I'll carry with me the rest of my life.

Good, wholeheartedly agree with this. Too bad US legislators are impotent.

> Especially if those people aren't presently very bright, and are already mad at you for not helping them achieve their unrelated authoritarian goals.

Just more corrupt behavior from the contemptible kakistocracy that's busy running things into the ground and enriching themselves while they're at it.

Scrum and agile are performative and most 1:1s are a waste of time, they are just a way to stay in people's good graces and keep up appearances.
