Sure ya do buddy, me too.

People are going to copy GitHub the way people copied Facebook… how is "Threads" doing again?

There has to be some sort of "/humanize-text" skill they can pass the output to before publishing.

Getting consistent "API Error: 500 Internal server error" messages in Claude Code right now (10:20 AM EST)

"Teknium" was also defending things on X like a Polymarket skill being pre-installed and stuff.

Seems like both projects are a bit unprofessional in terms of leaders. Hermes just tries to sound more authoritative with the "Nous Research" name and fancy site, etc.

Does Hermes still come bundled with a Polymarket skill enabled by default?

Yep, here's the v2 and v3:

https://huggingface.co/nvidia/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v2

https://huggingface.co/nvidia/parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v3

It's almost instant on my new M5 Max w/ 36GB of memory, but I used both with Handy on my previous 2019 Intel Mac w/ 16GB memory and was completely surprised at just how fast it was for being on-device! Not instant, but only a couple seconds.

You have to enable "Experimental Features" under "Advanced."

This is the prompt I use (it's probably overkill and can be condensed):

I hardly type at all now. I use Handy (free) with Parakeet and use its post-LLM processing feature with a custom prompt tailored towards coding, so I can say things like "Have it go to slash remote dash control" and it'll output "/remote-control". Converts brackets, etc.

Everything is almost instant, it's insanely fast, and lets me work on multiple different agents/windows at the same time fast with cmux.

I use the same thing to talk to people on Slack, iMessage, etc now when I'm working from home instead of typing.

I also can help articulate my thoughts better when I'm thinking them literally out loud instead of just sitting silent and typing them on a computer for hours.

It's just something that you need to try and get used to because I also thought it was something I wouldn't like at first.

Unless you're coming up with a deterministic set of criteria for evaluating these bugs and issues, every single model is going to keep telling you it finds new things and to fix them.

I'm sure you said the same "find mistakes please" thing to Opus 4.8 and GPT 5.5 when you were using $previous_amazing_latest_model, and they also found and fixed them.

Once the next "Fable"-type model comes out I'm sure it's going to find even more mistakes that the "special" Fable made.

You're using these models to make mistakes and then using upgraded versions of them to find their previous mistakes and fix them, until a new version comes along that can magically fix even more mistakes their previous versions made. There's no end to it.

I think it's a clever thing he did to basically guarantee he continues to get major traffic to his blog here every time a model is released, especially since he's taking sponsorships with a static banner at the top of every page now. I think he's trying to go the Daring Fireball route.

What would need to happen for it to be considered an AI problem to you?

YC seems a bit different from I remember it back in 2007 when I first joined. They're pushing things like "GStack" now.

I've switched to Debian (and since Ubuntu) for my server needs but I remember being obsessed in the mid 2000s with FreeBSD when I was younger. I would spend more time configuring and setting them up than doing anything actually useful on them.

It used to be hard to find dedicated servers or VPSs with any of the BSDs, I think I settled on Panix.com or something?

Before that I remember some company called 15MinuteServers (NAC?) out of NJ I think that offered them. Just kind of rambling down memory lane at this point though.

No it's not. Where do you come up with this? Just because you searched the phrase on Google and there's a single result for it on a wiki? Who do you know that's using this expression regularly?
