I an on HN news since 2008. This is not a joke but serious. US has a right to cut themselves from Russia, but just do it. Stop playing stupid games.

No I am serious.

If I visit Iran, I can not go to USA. I think US should apply the same rules, and cleanse themselves from all Russian influence. All Russian developers, tech, companies...

Also do the same for China...

Russian citizens can still visit US! They could be spies who try to sabotage US economy. You can still stop them!

It is like saying refugees are part of the problem, because they are taking flats from the market. People who rent Airbnb also have a right to be in Berlin.

And this policy is pushing more flats from normal market into airbnbs.

Not if you stay months in hotel or Airbnb. And that is only available option.

No, this system is more like feudalism or serfdom. When I move in, you expect me to work on your land, so protected class does not have to work.

Young people and foreigners have to pay large taxes and rents, to subside older people.

It is unconstitutional because it treats people unequally. New people will not find any rentable properties, and will have to stay in hotels paying 10x more.

It is just another form of xenophobia.

Friend was treated for "mental disorder". She was fine, except food allergy. If she followed this "bro science", she would be dependent on God knows what, with real mental problems.

There was similar antiworm for Code Red on 2001. MS IIS had vulnerability that got exploited, someone released worm to patch it.

That will destroy your concentration over long term.

Stupid question:

Does dedicated NAS have any advantages for power user? Buy some cheap Ryzen box, stuff it with harddrives, install Centos and forget about it....

That is not how anti money laundering works. Person has to prove their income is clean, there is no presumption of innocence.

Electric cars have zero emissions, bitcoin has zero emissions ;)

Seriously, most mining farms are using geothermal or water dams generators.

Maybe have a look at OpenSuse, it has rollback as well and feels like traditional Linux.

》 British Empire financed itself with ... slaves for all its History

That is just not true.

British Empire abolished slavery worldwide. They went into war with many countries that supported slavery. They even took huge loan to end slavery, that took hundreds years to repay (until 2015).

But most cryptos are not truly decentralised and robust enough. There is centralised dev team. And no crypto can truly handle brainsplit network issues.

51% attack would be very expensive on electricity and new infrastructure. There is already working and profitable infrastructure to prevent money laundering.
