In the sense of the article artists have always done their best to cater to the taste of the people who might pay them. At least from the 16th century. They were typically paid for and protected by a mecenas (wealthy Merchant or nobility). There are no doubt exceptions but in general the art was to please their mecenas.

You lost your bet. I don't abuse our users. How much did I earn?

I'm not sure what you have against hired developers. We just want to earn money for coding, is this a crime?

I didn't know things had gone quite this far yet.

I have to agree. There should be legislation preventing this, or the pirates will be morally in the clear. Which does not help copyright owners. Yes, the pirate stole your content, but since you were going to revoke access anyhow he was stealing from a scammer which is justice.

I can see duo being worth something but since they don't really sell anything... I'm not knowledgeable about advertising to know whether the 6.5b makes sense or not

I was surprised to find no advanced stuff on their curriculum. At first i thought: another genius telling us hes a genius but it seems quite doable. I mean even during my half year of cs bachelors courses i took to get into the master i did have to do a graphics course and another on image processing.

i think this would make it necessary to include a lot of anti-piracy code that would not normally be necessary. otherwise it will be up on pirate bay right after release.
