Thank you. I think a cause does not have to mean a Save the Whales type cause...bringing your product to a doing-without marketplace could be your cause. Most companies, however, can and should identify a bigger deal. I always think of our people going back to grandma's house and answering the question "what do you do?"
My intention was not provide a flip one sentence Leno-type headline to a resume, I apologize if the idea is offensive. I may have been in one of 'those' moods. I do think that you must grab the hiring manager's attention in a few seconds. Unfortunately, most people tend to bury their achievements, work ethic, attitudes, etc. Put them front and center works best.
Yes, the major difference is that on LINKUP.COM we only have jobs from company sites. Indeed scrapes jobs from all over, some have been filled, some are third party jobs etc. About half of the jobs on LINKUP have never even been advertised. Do you think that a highly visited site would find it more appealing to offer to its visitors...it is like a service to visitors. Or not?
Just read this over again, and want to make sure you realize it is not a free home to KEEP, just one to live in while you are working there. It was not my intention to get into any debates, but I found it interesting because my day job has to do with the employment industry and I was feeling frustrated with how hard it is for people to find great jobs. This just hit me at the right time, and I thought you would like to read about it, is all.

According to Craig, he has advertised with the local workforce centers who attend nearly all the job fairs in cities within driving distance. Not to mention the online job boards, farming magazines, etc. I just thought we all might be interested in a middle America, ie farming dilemma right now, in light of all the woe is me talk on the media. The one person is right...there are jobs,maybe not where you want or need them. It could be a great life for someone.
