The obvious thing that comes to mind when looking at their spotlight example.

However, no mention of this basic head scratcher in the docs.

> Starting a new process for each request doesn't feel right.

I think there is a misunderstanding of how stdio works. The process can be long running and receive requests via stdio at any time. No need to start one for each request.

Sounds like your setup would make for an interesting read in longer form

Hinkley Point is the premier example of how badly slow a nuclear development can be. Reactors are often built in 5-7 years.

Here in coastal British Columbia, it’s the removal of ocean fish farms that has sent the dwindling numbers of pink salmon soaring again!

don't they own the crib after paying $1700?

at this point we should be pulling on every thread. Individual change is one of them, it should be promoted as well.

The amount of frivolous waste I observe at the individual level, multiplied by the millions, is not insignificant.

Salmon farms need to go. They are a plague to the wild salmon populations.

Here in BC Canada, our local area wild salmon populations are finally recovering after the closure of the local salmon farms.

They crowd fish in biologically hazardous conditions, then pump them with antibiotics and chemicals to keep them alive. All this in open water pens shared with the rest of the ecosystem.

One better solution seem to be inland salmon farms.

Wild salmon are too critical to many food chains both in the water and on land.

Think about your needs and what you actually do with your computer, and if there would be a significant difference with an upgrade.

I'm still on M1 and I know that M2 and M3 would not change my experience for my web development work.

But yeah, if you're just going off the maker's marketing materials, then yeah, you'd always feel behind.

I don't know about justifying or rationalising waste by pointing to a greater source of waste.

It's comforting to see first nations of canada recovering a central role in modern canadian society.

However, having lived here for a year a year now, I have observed a concerning aspect of this re-integration, which is mentioned in the article: First nations aren't just propped back up and re-integrated in society, it goes further in that they are given special rights that go beyond what any other class of canadian citizens have access to. In this case it is exemption from zoning laws, but all over the country it's access to mining, lumber and fishing rights. They are exempted from federal quotas on fishing, cutting forests, etc ...

On moral grounds, I find it questionable to give some citizens special birth rights greater than others. But on more practical grounds, this is creating a great big loophole for the traditional resource extraction companies to circumvent environment regulation by partnering with first nations on projects.
