I kinda applied this for my thesis. Advisor got really mad, rejected my draft and gave me an annotated version using a red pen (first time, it was blue til then).
I couldn't be happier : he caught way too many little details I didn't have time for, and explained the important details I didn't have interest in.
I submitted the new version around a month after that and it went smoothly.
What's the logic here? Do you somehow think that taxes will encourage innovation ?
Anybody can compete, but apparently most of us choose not to. Who forces a young talent to settle for a job instead of taking the risk to innovate ? Maybe risk-taking for innovation is what could be the encouraged through taxation.
Agree, this is how I somehow ended up using bash/vim for all my needs. I realized it wasn't "normal" when I saw my boss' face as he watched me typing. And it keeps compounding :)
