Covishield/AstraZeneca both shots. First day of symptoms was a week ago. Tested positive next day. It took a good 3 days for fever to come below 100. Body feels broken even today. Luckily no other symptoms or severe turn. Bad body ache and headache during first 24-36 hours. Then just fever stuck around for 3 days even after 3 Crocins daily.

Speaking on phone was tiring.

My doctor had doubts so on 5th day she prescribed repeat CRP test (had dropped from 6+ to 5+) and also chest ct scan (1/25).

Not sure which variant but didn’t lose smell etc.

I still feel hay fever sometimes or maybe it’s just anxiety and fear. It’ll take a lot from me to be able to step out again.

For everyone else I knew in last 2-3 months here this was merely a formality of some fever. I sometimes still think why it took so long for me.

Having no family made it tough and scary. Had informed closest friends that if I had to be hospitalised they’d at least check on me and maybe doctors and hospitals will get a sense that there are people asking about this patient (yeah, it’s that kind of country).

Wouldn’t want to experience this shit again. Those 4-5 days when I was waiting for fever to come down were of fear and hopelessness.

Considering for how much KMC sold its seats back then I’d say 30K USD was still a bargain.

Now their engineering school’s seats are sold for more than that.

My GP has already prescribed me a chest CT scan as my fever basically didn’t budge for 3.5 days with paracetamol and NISE as well. My CRP was elevated as well.

Now fever is down. My 5th day of symptoms today. I’m going to repeat CRP and then additionally do a chest CT scan today. She will see whether all is well or almost well with me or do I need specific care as of now or later as part of recovery. I think I technically I am still a covid patient.

And god, why is it difficult for every doctor out there to understand and accept that my “normal body temperature is below 98.6 F”!!

I got my result today morning +ve. Fever wasn’t breaking since last 3 days. It remained 102-103.5F. Today it came down to 99.5F. No other symptoms so far, except on and off body ache and headache.

I hope I get better without having to visit a hospital.

What should I get tested for after getting better?

Did you go for this as routine checkup or after some symptoms, or you wanted to see what damage was caused by COVID?
