I guess it doesn't help much their customers that they don't mention this with capital letters somewhere close to the search box. I would never use a search like this.

They're taking your idea and purposefully selling it to other customers. Doesn't matter if they're doing it via a recommendation engine or not.

Now, can GoDaddy write another blog post confirming they NEVER steal any domain names that are searched frequently ? I will wait.

GoDaddy then posted a response to it.

There they point out that they use past searches to give recommendations for other people that are searching for a domain.
Guess what, the recommendation engine is making it more likely that the domain name you searched for gets taken by someone else. It is not GoDaddy but ,inadvertently, it's the recommendation algorithm they use to help their customers. An unintended consequence. SOLVED!
