Yeah, so nice they publish lists like that for us. I found so many treasures in such publications that I wonder if it is a viable way to advertise.

I believe many countries intelligence agencies have the ability to weaken/break anonymity of tor and VPN's.
The question is, is the music industry able to leverage that? Would any government, either for strategic advantage, or because some low level employee was 'overly helpful', hand over that info?

Does anyone really believe that the principals of these pirate suites freely give out their real phone no's, addresses, and anything else useful ? They know from the start that the authorities will be using the legal system to obtain this information (which is typically all false information anyway).
and if they hail from Russia no Western legal process applies in Russia, Russian courts don't respect any Western demands, in fact, Western lawyers who dare to show up in Russia would likely be beaten or killed, so they could hire local counsel, but the criminals can hire hitmen to take out local counsel cheaper than they can hire defense lawyers.

Please don't make drastically negative generalized statements about the _people_ of a country without statistical evidence to back it up.

Would "Western Lawyers" really be targeted in this extreme fashion rather than simply have a Russian judge drop any cases filed for lack of standing under Russian law?

I have to say.. all the bamboozle netflix etc are pulling off, I kind of appreciate how it used to work when you simply wanted to watch something, and could actually find it.
