Ask HN: Which city do you think will be the next tech center?

I wonder if there will be such a thing as a tech center if more and more people are working remote
Still need some infrastructure, think good data, transportation (for the infrequent commute), and social environment. Some places are sorely lacking in some of those.
San Francisco, California. Much has been said about SF about losing people, but empirically, more people are entering than leaving SF. Bet on SF now and in the future.
Montevideo, Uruguay
I was born and raised there and while I hope it happens, I am pessimistic.
I wrote a huge rant about why and how it won't happen, but lets just say the political landscape does not favor startups nor business in general, this country, I am sorry to say, will always be 'El Paisito' (A Lil' Country).
