5-HTP is a non-prescription supplement that is said to help with lucid dreaming. Take 100 or 200mg the same way as they do with galantamine in the paper, i.e. wake up after first sleep, take 5-HTP, remain awake for a half hour, then go back to sleep.
Galantamine sounds like an interesting nootropic. It would be nice to see a Gwern-like n=1 experiment.
Just need to be content practicing the mnemonic induction I guess, I've never done it seriously enough to see if it works. Similarly with those games to try to improve your working memory.
